Description for Syngonium Plant

The Syngonium Live Plant is most commonly used as an indoor plant. It is easy to take care of and can be shaped into different sizes according to the wish of the owners. The plant is part of the Araceae family, and its scientific name is Syngonium podophyllum. The Syngonium Live Plant helps to purify the air by absorbing the pollutants like benzene and formaldehyde from the air.

The plant can thrive well when kept away from the direct rays of the sun but not away from light. The leaves of the plant are pointy towards the head and are popularly known as arrowhead when it has matured. But when they are at their nascent stage the leaves are often heart-shaped. The leaves of these flowering plants are generally dark green or are flecked with light and dark green. The plant has a bushy growth and has to be trimmed regularly to maintain its attractive looks. The plant has to be re-potted to ensure that its growth is not hindered. The flowers that the plant bears have resemblance with the peace lily.

A jade plant has succulent and green leaves and is more than often known as Chinese Rubber plant and is famous for symbolizing good luck charm throughout the Asian countries. Syngonium Plant

Keep the plant in such a place where it will get bright light but be careful that it is not exposed directly to the sunlight.

The plant can grow well in moist soil. You can also use a potting mix like peat moss to create the perfect soil for the plant.

Water the plant to ensure that the soil is moist as this will enable the plant to grow.

The plant needs a balanced fertilizer every month during its growing season.

Jade Plant

These plants need a healthy amount of sunlight, for around 4 hours on a daily basis. Typically, they are therefore planted on the south-facing windows. They also rejuvenate under the dappled light.

The soil must be well-drained, and high in the organic mix. Usage of partial sphagnum peat moss coupled with coarse sand is best for a flourishing growth of the plants. Moreover, the soil should possess a moderately balanced pH, neither high nor low. 

Excess moisture or soggy soil could consequent in root rot, therefore they must be allowed to dry especially during winter. The appearance of brown spots on leaves is also a clear indication that they are not receiving an adequate amount of water. 

They are best fertilized for approximately 3 to 4 times a year, preferably with a well-balanced soluble fertilizer. Excessive fertilizing on dry soil can have a negative impact on the plants.

Other issues that can hinder a healthy growth of the plant are powdery mildew and leaf loss. These signs should be watched out in order to understand what the plant is lacking in its care and growth. Ensure pruning of unhealthy branches is being taken care of occasionally. However, more than 20% to 30% should never be pruned at a time.
